My review of Taste Of Chaos
Well I heard that the Taste Of Chaos would be the "winter Warped Tour" well....it's not, the booths are good but no where near as many as Warped, or so I hear. The presentation kicked ass though, with guitar booths, band booths, and uhhh.....a myspace booth...the bands on the acoustic staged sucked ass, 50 year old bastards tryin to make it big. and now to the real show...
A Static Lullaby- I'm a huge fan of this band and rumours on their message board said that there going more "alternative" you can hear it at www.purevolume.com/astaticlullaby
The opended up with Smooth Modulator from there new album, it was awesome, they put on a really good set for about a half hour, they closed with "The shooting star that killed us all" (a static lullaby classic) it ruled. bravo
Underoath-I'm also a huge fan of this band too, it was the singers 21'st birthday that night, they played a kickass fuckin set, the programmer/dj is insane, before one of there songs they played a line from Anchorman, "Ladies and gentlemen i need your attention....this is urgent, CANNONBALLLLL!!!!" and then the song went. it was awesome, good set.
Senses Fail- I have a lot of respect for this band just because the drummer is 19, and they've only been a band for 2 years, but i have to say i was really dissapointed on Buddys vocals, whatever pitch he couldnt sing, he screamed. Hes a great screamer but during, "irony of dying on your birthday" he sucked, and same with "buried a lie". they opended with "187" which was really fuckin amazing.
Killswitch Engage-I'm not a huge fan of this band but i have to say, they put on an amazing set, if your into hardcore metal shit you'll like this band.
My Chemical Romance-.........AMAZING. Deffinetly the most entertaining set played all night. Gerard was making a lot of homosexual enuendos throughout the set, talking about doing shit with Bert form the used ect.
The Used- They we're really good, the quality of the set was amazing. before a song bert said god everyone in the crowd to give a hug/kiss on cheek to everyone that was next to him....it was weird but whatever. As everyone was hugging each other bert kissed everyone in his band except the drummer pushed him away. Favorite song of the set was probably, Box of sharp objects, or I'm a fake. They got kicked off stage for cussing right before they were about to close the set with "sound effects and overdramatics".
